As you are aware, with the implementation of Bassel-II accounting norms by the Banks & FIs a large number of healthy and good companies are being declared as “Sick” and “NPA”. With the new debt recovery laws in place the lower level Bank Officers harass and hound entrepreneurs and guarantors for ‘immediate’ liquidation of loans. Most often, the end result is auction of prime assets at scrap value.
